Task Scripts

spotforecast2-safe provides a command-line demo for a config-driven forecasting workflow.

Available Command

Command Description
spotforecast-safe-zone-load-demo Compare a four-zone bottom-up load forecast with a direct aggregate forecast

Zone-load Demo

The command fits one recursive model per German TSO control zone, sums their forecasts, and compares that bottom-up result with a model trained directly on aggregate load. By default it uses deterministic synthetic hourly data, so the demo runs offline.

Usage

# Synthetic offline demo
uv run spotforecast-safe-zone-load-demo

# Use an assembled ENTSO-E zone-load CSV
uv run spotforecast-safe-zone-load-demo \
  --data_path ~/spotforecast2_data/interim/energy_load_zones.csv

# Add per-zone weather features
uv run spotforecast-safe-zone-load-demo --per_zone_weather true

# Show every option
uv run spotforecast-safe-zone-load-demo --help

The command returns 0 on success and 1 when validation or forecasting fails. Enable file logging with --logging true when an audit trail is needed.

See the task API reference for parameters and examples.
